There is an urgency of response to an ostensibly growing issue of human trafficking and modern slavery. Faith-based organisations have an increasingly visible role in responses to human trafficking, not just through awareness raising among faith congregations, but also as recipients of statutory and charitable funds to provide services to trafficked persons. Three principal terrains of practice in anti-trafficking can be identified: provision of support, awareness raising, and government or statutory policy and decision making.
